Hippocampus Bones
Collected from an underwater graveyard created by the eruption of a submarine volcano in the Mediterranean Sea back in 81 AD. The graveyard has been perfectly preserved by the merpeople who now guard it, which we have cultivated a good relationship with over five generations. Our Charms master collects each bone by hand to limit the amount of disturbance on this incredible site.
The Hippocampus bones are extremely rare due to their elusive nature. No witch or wizard has been able to tame one - myths say that only the Greek/Roman deities (including Poseidon and Neptune) were able to build any lasting relationship with these graceful and agile creatures.
Hippocampus bones are most frequently used in complex/highly valued potions that revolve around the element of water.
All Incantatrix Apothecary potions, ingredients and products are handmade, home-brewed and crafted with care.
