What are Magnetic Stirring Potions?

Our magnetic stirring potion bottles contain a small magnetic stir bar inside. When placed on a compatible magnetic stirrer pad, the contents gently swirl on their own, creating a magical self-stirring effect.

I've purchased a magnetic stirring potion, but it isn't swirling on its own.

Our bottles are magnetic stirrer ready, which means they require a compatible magnetic stirrer pad to create the self-stirring effect.

Without a stirrer pad, they can still be shaken by hand just like our standard potion bottles.

Do you sell magnetic stirrer pads?

Unfortunately not.

We cannot send electronics and liquids together in the same parcel with our shipping carrier.

Magnetic stirrer pads are widely available online. We purchased ours from Amazon for around £21, although many retailers sell suitable models.

We recommend choosing a stirrer with an adjustable speed range of 600–2000 RPM. Avoid high-speed-only models, as they can cause the magnet to jump rather than spin smoothly.

Many customers hide the stirrer inside a decorative book box or beneath a piece of fabric to create a seamless magical display. You can see examples of this on our magnetic potion product videos.

I've purchased a magnetic stirrer, but the magnet just jumps around.

This is usually caused by either the bottle not being centred on the stirrer or the speed being set too high.

Before switching the stirrer on, make sure the bottle is positioned directly in the centre of the pad.

We also recommend using a stirrer that starts at 600 RPM or slower, as lower speeds allow the magnet to spin smoothly without jumping.

Can I convert one of my existing potion bottles into a magnetic stirring bottle?

Unfortunately not.

Our bottles are permanently sealed during production, so the magnetic stir bar must be installed before the bottle is filled and sealed.

Will I be able to see the magnet inside the bottle?

Possibly.

Depending on the bottle design, the magnet may be hidden beneath decorations or settle under the mica powder.

The magnet is approximately the size of a small tablet, so even when visible it is generally quite discreet.

Why are only some designs available as magnetic stirring bottles?

Every potion bottle can still be shaken by hand to create the swirling effect.

For designs where the magnet can be hidden, we often include one in every bottle so they can be used both by hand and on a magnetic stirrer.

For designs where the magnet would remain clearly visible, we produce separate standard and magnetic versions, allowing customers to choose the option they prefer.

Will more magnetic stirring versions be released?

We hope so.

If these bottles continue to be popular, we'd love to introduce magnetic versions of more of our existing designs. However, some bottles simply aren't suitable because the bottle's design doesn't allow it to work effectively.
